10+ Stories With Endings More

Story 1:
At 4 a.m., I heard a singing voice on my baby monitor.
It kept saying, “Hush now, baby, I came for you.” We were alone. When I got to my baby’s room, she was sleeping. I tried to reassure myself that it was only a terrible dream.
But when I was adjusting her blanket, I spotted something beneath her arm. My blood raced cold when I discovered a message that said, “Make sure to take care of your child more!” I felt ill to my stomach and froze while holding the message.
Hours later, I fell asleep in that position. When I woke up, the note was gone. I searched everywhere; it had vanished. I still wonder if it was all a bad dream, but I know for certain it was not—everything felt so real.
Story 2:
When I was approximately 17, my buddies decided to conduct a ghost hunt in one of their homes. The girl who lived there and her sisters were frequently talking about strange ghostly things that happened. I was a skeptic with nothing better to do.
Around 4-5 hours later, I was seated on a chair next to a locked door. The doorknob twisted, and the door opened halfway, then completely, before slamming shut. I suddenly felt footsteps near the chair. I am no longer completely skeptical.

Story 3:
When I was fourteen years old, I spent the summer with my grandparents. It was eleven p.m., and I was thirsty. I walk out to the kitchen and see who I believed was my grandfather seated at the table eating a sandwich. I say hi, take a drink of water, and return to my room.
My grandfather emerges from his room and inquires as to who I was speaking with. I turned back, but no one was there. It terrified me and still does to this day.

Story 4:
When my son was younger, I was working on my computer when I heard him wake up. He let out a slight whine followed by the traditional toddler cry/moan, “mommmyyyyy.” So I sprang up to grab him. Then I recalled that my kid was not home. He was on a sleepover at my parents’ house.

Story 5:
I got lost in the forests of North Carolina while playing paintball. It was full daylight, yet the woods were dense, and every tree appeared identical. It probably only took 1-2 minutes, but it seemed like I was shouting “help” for hours.
What is the worst part? It turns out, I wasn’t even lost. I was about 10 feet away from everyone else, and they all heard me yell “help,” but they assumed I was playing as a decoy…

Story 6:
About two months after my father passed away, my mother, brothers, and sisters sat around the dining room table. We were simply discussing the past and swapping memories. We were chatting about my father when the globe that surrounded the light on the ceiling dropped straight down onto the table. It did not shatter, roll, or move after striking the table.

Story 7:
Throughout the 2.5 years we’ve lived here, we’ve experienced a few minor incidents. Most of the sounds are knocking, and they consistently come from the front of the home and the corridor leading to the kids’ bedroom.

However, one time late at night, I heard footsteps that proceeded from my wife’s side of the bed to the opposite side of the room before stopping. In the morning, my wife’s phone was found where the footprints had gone. She was perplexed as to why she had placed it there, so I just kept my mouth shut.

Story 8:
We lived in an apartment the night my elder brother passed absent. My neighbor across the hall has a fierce Rottweiler that is really vio:lent. Around 3 a.m., we heard three distinct knocks on the door with the Rottweiler screaming in panic. We opened the door and saw no one.
My aunt returned home the next day, crying in despair. She said, “I felt like someone knocked on my door at 3 AM; I felt it was your brother, but there was no one.”

Story 9:
Back in the 1990s, I was in the living room, playing a computer game. My father entered, spoke with me for about a minute, and then returned to his room to go to bed. I returned to playing the game.
A few minutes later, I had the impression that something was peering at me. When I glanced up, I saw a figure in the shape of my father standing in the exact location where he had been. I could see through it, and it like shimmering smoke.

Story 10:
When I was in kindergarten, I used to take the afternoon bus home. For the first several weeks, I saw my grandfather by the side of the road near the entrance to my neighborhood. When I came home, I told my mother about it—how he simply stood there and waved at me. All I received were puzzled expressions.
What’s the reason? My granddad di:ed two weeks before school began. What I didn’t realize until lately was that he had perished directly beside the pond, a few steps from that road.
