AFTER SEVEN YEARS, PARENTS WELCOMED THEIR SECOND BLACK AND WHITE TWINS

Parents from Hampshire, England, Alison Spooner and Dean Durrant, welcomed their twins Hayleigh and Lauren Durrant in 2001. The childrend were the center of attracktion at the hospital because they had different skin colors.

Alison was white, and her husband Dean was black, so one of the twins were like their mother, and the other one was like her father.

As it is a rare thing to happen, many people had questions about the situation, where Hayleigh said, “Some people can be really rude. They’ll say, ‘You’re lying, you aren’t twins — prove it!”

As the sisters were constantly together, they liked the shock people would be in, after they learn that they are twins. But after they went to college, things got changed because of the numerous groups they faced there.

Hayleight said, “The black group were trying to integrate me, and I was like, ‘This is my white twin sister.’”

People were having problem comprehending that they were twin sisters, and they were thinking that the sisters were just best friends.

And after seven years later, an incredible thing happened. Dean and Alison had welcomed another set of twins, Leah and Miya, and like their firstborns, this twins had different skin colors too.

As Hayleigh and Lauren are becam 18 in 2019, the sisters were carers of their “mini-mes,” as Leah stated. “Lauren and Hayleigh are my heroes. I like my older sisters. We want to be like them when we get grown-up.”

Alison stated that she is a one proud mother, because whenever her daughters experiences mean things in school, they always responded with kindness, and explained that they are twin sisters.

Hayleigh said, “We say the same things at the same time and finish each other’s sentences. Sometimes I know exactly what she is thinking.”
