As part of their job, woodcutters have to cut a lot of wood every day, all day long. But sometimes, the work can come up with strange shocks.
As they cut a tree trunk with a chainsaw, several people fell in shock at what they discovered. It looked like metal, and they were amazed when they finally got the thing out of there! What did they find when the saw got stuck and the chain broke?
They found a small piece of bent metal, but there was another one deeper in the trunk. Once the strange things were taken away, they were carefully looked at until they found out what they were. A bullet! How did the bullet get into that trunk so deeply? No one knows.
But here’s an interesting fact: it looks like trees don’t heal; instead, they hold on to the thing that hurt them and keep growing and changing around it.
One person on the team found the answer: loggers used to shoot trees with guns when they were bored. They found out the tree was 30 years old by counting the rings. They found several bullets in other logs that day.
